What the PD says about Rachelle:
"A heavenly way to kick off the morning"

By Zachary Lewis (from an article about massage therapy published in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, April 29, 2013)
Living proof of how therapists rarely employ just one technique, Rachelle Neher of Back in Motion in University Heights provided me a veritable massage grab-bag at her home studio stuffed with four unique modalities, everything from the most mainstream to the most unconventional.
Swedish popped up first. The form most people probably think of when they imagine massage, Neher's version featured long, smooth strokes on oiled skin, interrupted occasionally by vigorous chopping. I found it wholly pleasant and soothing. Ditto Deep Tissue massage, a cousin of Swedish that simply entails greater pressure. From this, Neher transitioned seamlessly into Reflexology, a form of therapy in which the feet and hands serve as mirrors of the body. Push or tug on part of an extremity, the thinking goes, and the effects will be felt in the region that corresponds to it. In theory, it's therefore possible to receive a whole-body massage without taking off anything more than your socks. In my experience, however, the effects were noticeable nowhere else so much as my feet. For them, sore from countless miles on the road, the treatment was blissful.
Two other modalities Neher introduced in quick succession: Reiki and "Ortho-Bionomy." The former, which seeks a transferal or re-balancing of energy, consisted of Neher placing and holding her hands above and on various parts of my body. I found it deeply calming but not particularly therapeutic in a medical or physical sense. The benefits of the latter were far more palpable. Holding her finger on tense spots in my upper back and neck, Neher enabled the target muscles to essentially massage themselves via the motion of my own breathing. As I inhaled and exhaled, the muscles slid back and forth over the knob of Neher's fingertip. It was massage of the most gentle, natural sort, and a heavenly way to kick off the morning.

...What clients say about Rachelle...
The only healer that I entrust my whole being with.
Rachelle is an incredibly intuitive gifted healer. If you are open to something other than "fluff " work, and are in need of soul or soma (body) healing, Rachelle is THE one.

Who should go here? Everyone looking to heal.
Rachelle specializes in being an empath combined with her extensive knowledge of acupressure, chakras, essential oils, reflexology, & crystals. I've been seeing Rachelle going on 5 years for neck pain from the office, runners knee & seasonal depression. Every time I leave, I genuinely feel healed physically & spiritually. What you should know: Rachelle is inviting you into her home; her sanctuary. This is not like a traditional massage parlor but she does have a designated room which is very comfortable & relaxing. She listens to what you tell her & she asks probing questions to ensure she fully understands what you are experiencing pain wise. She then creates a treatment plan specific to your needs using all of the tools available to her.
I would recommend seeing Rachelle at least once. I bet you leave feeling in bliss just like I do every time.

Have you ever had someone work on your feet and you felt it throughout your body?
I hadn't but then Rachelle did reflexology on my feet and I felt it. I thought she was spending too much time on my feet rather than on my back (I went to her because I was in town to help with my 93-year-old dad and lifting him fried my back), and then I started to feel it in my head and other places (according to the foot chart. I didn't realize the foot to body connection). By the end I was so relaxed I genuinely had trouble getting up. Marvelous feeling. And back pain was gone. Highly recommend her, you will feel the difference.

Receiving a massage from Rachelle was an amazing experience from start to finish.
She is very creative in her healing approaches. She is very compassionate and intuitive when focusing on my needs. She reduced my pain quickly. Her skills in other healing modalities which were very helpful like foot reflexology, aromatherapy, and Reiki. I have gone to many therapists over the years and she is outstanding in the healing field, and I highly recommend her to others.

Hidden Gem!
Rachelle is awesome, from the first few mins. she took my nervousness and made me feel like I was with a longtime friend. Her skills melt away your problems and leave you calm and energized. An hour flies by and you want more because the atmosphere and therapy puts you in a special place. Rachelle candidly explains what is happening and asks for feedback on various techniques. I would go every other day if I could. Give her a try, you won't be disappointed.

'Wish I could see you every day!'![]() What a blessing you are Rachelle. I truly appreciate your Healing Hands! Massages with you are amazing! I have been all around the world and received hundreds of massages with some of the best therapists . You truly have a gift and I have been able to progress with your treatments. It has been over a year and a half and I've suffered a great deal with such pain due to my injuries from car accidents. I have been searching for a person that could help my body turn the corner and recover; your business name says it all -- you putting my body back in motion! Each session brings exactly what my body needs for that day and I feel so good afterwards that I'm reminded of how my body used to feel before my injuries. I just wish I could see you everyday so that I could live in this place, however I am patient and will continue to allow my body the time it needs to heal. Thank you for bringing healing to my body!
You are truly God sent and I'm very thankful to have found you. You give me hope that I shall recover one day through your healing energy work and therapeutic techniques that bring Rejuvenation relaxation and rest to my ever so aching and tired body!! Thank you for always taking such good care of me and going above and beyond to ensure my body received what it needed within each session! --Selena Cook, Michigan, 10/23/17 'Like a new person'![]() I have had two treatments from Rachelle at Back in Motion, and each time I came out feeling like a new person - and about a foot taller! She takes a holistic approach to massage and healing, tapping into clients' emotional as well as physical needs. Her manner is friendly and professional, and she is incredibly focused and joyful in her work. I am an active musician and Rachelle has helped me immensely with chronic arm, neck, and shoulder pain. I highly recommend her services.
--Emily Cornelius., 5/11/17 'Five Star Review'I am a 66-year-old practicing physician from Northwest Pennsylvania who consulted Rachelle because of left hip/trochanteric pain. While smoldering for years, this became a “show stopper” after I “overdid it” with long-distance running a few months ago. Conventional physical therapy, with a stretching program, and topical NSAIDs, alas provided only partial relief. After reviewing my medical history, Rachelle, with stunning “bull’s eye”, digital accuracy, identified the problem zones and trigger points along the relevant, interconnected skeletal axes from foot to neck. Even though I had not mentioned them to her, she also identified a couple of mildly problematic “trouble spots” along the back as well. What a bonus!!! At the end of the session, I was pain free, and felt “ten years younger”. She suggested some postural exercises that would complement my previously prescribed stretching regimen. Speaking as an experienced physician, Rachelle’s gentle, friendly manner, and integrative approach to the “whole" person, is only rarely encountered in today’s fast-paced and impersonal world. The words “kind and caring,” while overused in today’s world, truly apply to her. I give Ms. Neher, my highest recommendation. Incidentally, her surname, in Hebrew, (nun, hay, resh) means “flowing together, to be lightened.” What an appropriate description of Rachelle’s clinical approach and professionalism. Five star review!!!
--Dennis A. Vidmar M.D. , Dermatology Associates of Erie PA, 5/30/17 'Great relief'![]() I am amazed by the number of modalities Rachelle covers in an hour-long session. The variety is surprisingly rejuvenating, considering that each aspect is so supremely relaxing. Rachelle was thoughtful and thorough in her approach to treating pain caused by scoliosis. Her Swedish massage was just the right amount of pressure. Through reflexology, I felt great relief along my spine. Through Reiki, I felt the pain shift from one shoulder to the other and then it was virtually gone. That evening, I slept very well. I also appreciated her recommendations for local health practitioners in the area since
I just moved to Cleveland. It was a nice added touch when she offered me a glass of water infused with lemon oil at the end of the treatment. It's very helpful knowing she offers discounted packages for multiple bookings. Highly recommended! --Heather Sunders, 6/11/17 'Calm and peaceful serenity'I recently enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing massage and reflexology treatment, which released tension I didn't even know I was carrying throughout my body. The therapeutic, aromatic oils and lotions enhanced the experience and contributed to a sense of calm and peaceful serenity that stayed with me all day after my morning appointment! This was my first massage, and Rachelle put me at ease and explained all of her movements and their significance. I highly recommend Back in Motion, even for people who are not experiencing chronic pain or other symptoms.
--Laura Williams, 11/16/16 'Invaluable relaxation skills'Rachelle's multi-disciplinary approach to healing is a must-try. Her touch is great, but she does so much more. She has taught me some invaluable relaxation skills through breathing techniques and mental coaching. Her therapy is really holistic, not just based on the muscle manipulation aspect of massage (her massage work is top notch). --Rebecca B., 12/19/16
'Cloud 9'Rachelle was very thorough. I went in with sore knees and came out with no soreness at all. She is very caring and gentle. I was on Cloud 9 all day. I have not had that feeling for a long time.”
--Angie's list review 'For body and spirit'Rachelle does great work for body and spirit. I came to her with a neck ache from a sleeper couch, stressed from personal and family issues and with a sleep deficit. I left feeling positive, rejuvenated, more energetic than I had in ages, and no neck ache. 100% recommended!
--Tanya S., 6/5/17 'Exceptional'I had extreme laryngitis and my voice had totally disappeared for 8 days and decided to see Rachelle. She gave me a massage treatment for 90 minutes. She used Foot Reflexology, Reiki on my throat area, and used essential oils. It all helped to alleviate this pain and it returned my voice back to normal. My voice returned immediately at the end of the treatment! Rachelle offers a tremendous amount of knowledge and talent to your healing experience. Her ability in massage therapy and the healing arts is exceptional. I appreciate the holistic solution she offers to those who embrace a wellness lifestyle. If anyone has any questions and would like to reach out to me directly, I would love to share my experience about Rachelle Neher's work at Back in Motion.
Rebecca Brunswick, 10/10/16 440-552-4166 'I'm now totally pain-free'![]() Rachelle truly has Magical Hands and Fingers! I had received some terrible news and suddenly developed a terrible pain in my upper back that I could not get rid of. It was so bad I had a difficult time working or even sitting still. It nearly took all of Rachelle’s tools of the trade to help me. But now I am totally pain-free and emotionally free from the sadness, hurt and anger I was experiencing through her help and the support of essential oils. I also referred my husband to see her. He had much pain after a hip replacement and he got much relief from her. He is now walking with me in the parks! I highly recommend her healing work.
--Judy Singer, 4/19/16 'An excellent practitioner'![]() I first saw Rachelle this summer when I was experiencing horrible chest pain that I felt might be due to a difficult situation in my life. I was on medication but experiencing no real relief. Rachelle was very helpful and really listened to my concerns before treating me with massage therapy. She counseled me and gave me specific guided imagery to help me. She made nutritional recommendations that would help with the heartburn. Her use of essential oils and acupressure massage gave immediate relief to the pain. Within six weeks I was feeling great! She is an excellent practitioner and full of information and helpful suggestions. I now go once a month for massage and it is such a healthful, relaxing way of maintaining my balance. Thank you, Rachelle!
--Miranda Borden 11/16/15 'I fell deeply asleep'![]() During her stay in Paris, Rachelle had the opportunity to show me her talents. My lower back was very painful after having moved and lifted very heavy boxes. Rachelle coated my back with different essential oils. Her massage was very pleasant. Each time she ended with foot reflexology on my feet to relax me -- to the point that I fell deeply asleep! Thanks to her care, I healed my back more quickly. Thanks again, Rachelle.
--Roland Lazerges, France, 10/30/15 Translation: You gave me a great treatment during your recent trip to France. I had the flu and a sore throat; your massage employing essential oils brought me full recovery by the next day. I'm very appreciative. She seems to know just what will bring relief, and I always leave "floating" from a wonderful experience.
--Betsy Quinn, 6/24/15 'Truly gifted'![]() As a bassoonist, I experience much strain in arms, shoulders, and neck. My shoulders and neck were always very tense. Ms. Neher's hands were able to bring relief to such a degree that even my voice was relaxed and much lower than usual after a treatment with her. A truly gifted individual. Highly recommended!
--Fernando Traba, ChamberFest Cleveland 6/24/15 'Miraculous work'![]() When I came for a visit to Cleveland from Paris, I could not walk. The pain in my feet was very painful. Rachelle offered to give me a foot reflexology treatment. She found all the tender sensitive spots, and worked on them using essential oils, and arnica. She suggested soaking them in salts to help aid the healing. She continued massaging my legs, and I didn’t realize how sore they were too. After she was finished, I was amazed that my feet didn’t hurt, and I was able to walk without hesitation. Rachelle does miraculous work and I highly recommend her gifted hands, and gentle care.
